ILS Pouch Sorter
Fully automated sorting system for garments, hanging goods and returns – hybrid architecture combining ILS carriers and pocket bags, precisely configured to your processes.
ILS Pouch Sorter
Flatware and Hanging Goods.
One System. One Process.
The SCHÖNENBERGER Systems ILS Pouch Sorter is the answer to growing demands in e-commerce: wider product ranges, smaller order sizes, rising return rates. The system integrates flatware and hanging goods in a single conveying process – fully automated, contact-free and with seamless track & trace.
Shipments are sorted from both goods types and delivered precisely to the packing station. No manual searching, no unnecessary handling – every item arrives at the right place at the right time.
Hanging goods (individual carriers) and flatware (pocket bags) are managed, sorted and transported within the same ILS 2100 system – no system breaks, no transfers.
Returned items do not need to be re-stored. After quality inspection they move directly into the dispatch buffer – for fastest possible re-availability.
How It Works
Hybrid Sorting –
Here's How.
The ILS 2100 forms the foundation. Pocket bags are integrated into the system as operating equipment and run alongside individual carriers on the same rail network. Each pocket is individually identified by barcode or RFID – the system knows the location of every item at all times.
High-value clothing such as jackets, dresses and blazers is transported crease-free on hangers – flatware in the pockets, hanging goods on the carrier, both in the same sorting loop.
Loading and unloading stations can be operated fully automatically or manually – enabling ergonomic workstations and maximum operational flexibility.
- Sorting CapacityUp to 7,200 items/hReference value from real customer projects. Actual values vary depending on system configuration, component specification and individual requirements. per sorter block
- Transport SpeedUp to 30 m/minReference value from real customer projects. Actual values vary depending on system configuration, component specification and individual requirements.

Key Advantage
Returns Management:
From Return to Re-Shipment in Minutes.
In the traditional process, a return means: re-store, re-pick, re-pack. The ILS Pouch Sorter breaks this cycle. After quality inspection, returned goods move directly into the dispatch buffer – no re-storage, no re-picking process.
This not only dramatically improves availability of seasonal items, but also noticeably reduces stock pressure in the warehouse.
